hey, i still believe in new year's resolutions. in spite of those that manage to get away by February.
- streamline and TSA-proof my travel kit: something i'd been meaning to do for ages, can't wait to get it all in one clean and easy-to-carry-on set!
- new year closet editing – listing new items weekly here: A.P.C., Rachel Comey, and more!
- re-organize home workspace – throwing away several years' worth of papers and cluttered files over the weekend has never felt so good.
- read a book a week, thanks to my replacement Kindle after my old one died over the holidays. currently reading She Matters: A Life in Friendships
- re-assess needs vs. wants for wardrobe planning 2013
- add some more feminine foundation wardrobe pieces
- experiment more with texture and silhouette
what are your life / style resolutions?
mmm this all sounds so good. i'm still not quite sure what my style resolutions will be this year...maybe moving away from pure 100% basic pieces.
ReplyDeletei hear ya! though i still much prefer the design and quality of sephora's kits. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a few professional goals I want to achieve this year, so I expect to be much busier than last year (and if this month is any indication, it's going to be a hectic twelve months!)
ReplyDeleteOn a personal note, I want to be more forthright in all my dealings, apologise less and negotiate better :)
On the style front, I would like to worry less, buy less, enjoy what I already own or purchase without guilt and follow my instinct. I don't intend to give up making lists but I want to be less caught up in the act of adding to my wardrobe. It feels pretty complete at the moment.
ooh thanks for the tip! will have to check those out. i also like muji's mini bottles and cannisters.
ReplyDeleteHmm...you've made me think. I've never had style resolutions other than a wish list that I hope to tick off. I tend to edit my wardrobe every other month to get rid of clutter which is a must especially as we're living in a small flat. We had a larger place in NZ but we managed to fill the "guest room" with so much junk. It was a nightmare to clear out. Never again. As for life, I'd like to take more risks, be more fearless and step out of my comfort zone. I have little goals or milestones to aim for.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your resolutions - I would find reading a book a week extremely difficult, just because I need absolute silence and usually have my bf at home who likes to have TV on in the background! I need to do a further wardrobe edit, I started at the beginning of the year but there is always room for improvement I suppose!
ReplyDeleteTossing out files.....I'm totally in the same boat! It sure is a nice feeling, though, after completing that chore.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your resolutions! I have several professional goals to check off this year. And one of them was already achieved and it's only January. I'm ecstatic! In terms of style, I would just like to stay the course. I really appreciate everything that I buy, so it's a joy to pull things from my closet that I love. I'm good about not settling, knowing what works for me and following my instincts when it comes to shopping.
